Ahh I did it! I can't believe I did it!
Okay so I am posting my failure for all to see. This Mama gave her kids Nitrate free meat last night and today! I was so frazzled and in haste I bought and gave it to them. Why do we do these things. I keep thinking how stupid that was to do. Really couldn't I have made them PB&J or hummus and lettuce. I have got to get out of this terrible habit. I will fess up and say I have been Vegan on and off for a year and a half. My kids have been eating half vegetarian for about a year. I have been doing so good until this week. I got caught up in our schedule and the craziness of life and slipped up. My babies were happy. They thought ohh what a treat Mama is letting us have meat. The reality hit me when my oldest said ahh Mama why are you giving us meat? Its sad when you mindlessly pick up this crap in the store when you are strapped for time. I thought I had licked this for good. This mindless buying. Okay so I have thoroughly beaten myself up here and now I am going to trying this from a positive angle. I am going to try harder to not mindlessly buy and to prepare meals ahead. I am going to search for delicious recipes for vegan meals that are yummy to kids and without all the fake meats. See I am not anti fake meat its just full of soy and other things that aren't as wholesome as others. Says the Mama that fed her kids meat today. Man I am mad at myself. If anyone out there has suggestions on books that are vegan and kid friendly recipes please send your comments in! I am in need of a change here from the mindless buying we have been trained to do.

Hello to all my sisters out there!
I started this blog to go with my other blog called Crunchy and Loving it! This is a place for my fellow Mama's who are trying to get there kids to understand why a Vegan lifestyle is healthier and better for their bodies. I truly try everyday to make healthier choices for my kids. No matter what, this site is for better choices for our families. I will share recipes and books I have reviewed and talk about this crazy family of mine. I recently found organic yarn that I am knitting my kidos scarves with for this winter. So excited! I also will post crafty stuff here too! I love making things so I will also post that here. I can't wait to get started sharing. Have a Happy Healthy Day!
